About the role

As an IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager at Conectys, you will lead and develop the IT Infrastructure team, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology services across our cloud and on-premise environments. You will combine strong infrastructure expertise with people leadership, helping the team improve performance, manage priorities, and adopt new approaches to infrastructure and AI. This is an exciting opportunity to build on a stable infrastructure environment while introducing new ways of working and expanding its capabilities to support AI and Machine Learning initiatives.

What you will do

Lead, mentor, and develop the IT Infrastructure team, supporting professional growth, technical excellence, and a collaborative working environment.
Oversee the performance, reliability, and security of cloud and on-premise infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, identity management, backup, and disaster recovery.
Set technical direction and priorities for infrastructure and AI-related initiatives, ensuring effective resource allocation and alignment with business and client needs.
Drive the evolution of infrastructure capabilities to support AI and Machine Learning workloads, including AI platforms, GPU-based computing, and high-performance environments.
Guide the development and operation of AI and MLOps platforms, supporting the deployment, monitoring, management, and optimization of Machine Learning models.
Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues and major incidents, providing hands-on support when needed and ensuring effective root cause analysis.
Promote automation, Infrastructure as Code, and modern DevOps practices to improve operational efficiency, service quality, and scalability.
Encourage the team to adopt AI-enabled ways of working, continuously improving infrastructure management and reducing manual effort.
Ensure infrastructure and AI platforms meet relevant security, privacy, governance, availability, and cost-efficiency requirements.

What we look for

Critical for the Role

5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
2+ years of experience leading technical teams, including mentoring, supporting professional development, and managing priorities.
Strong hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, particularly Linux administration, cloud environments, networking, and security.
Experience managing enterprise infrastructure environments, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, identity management, virtualization, and backup solutions.
Knowledge of AI infrastructure and MLOps, including the fundamentals of supporting AI and Machine Learning workloads, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Familiarity with infrastructure automation and modern engineering practices, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support team members, manage complex situations, and work effectively with different stakeholders.
Critical thinking, sound decision-making, and a continuous improvement mindset.
English proficiency at B2/C1 level.

Considered an Advantage

Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
Experience with AI infrastructure, including GPU-based computing, high-performance computing, and AI model serving.
Familiarity with MLOps platforms such as Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, MLflow, or similar solutions.
Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, and vector databases.
Experience optimizing AI infrastructure capacity, GPU utilization, model inference performance, and platform costs.
Experience introducing AI-driven operational improvements or supporting teams through changes in technical practices.
